Buzz Aldrin took this picture of Neil Armstrong in the cabin after the completion of the first EVA. This is the face of the first man to set foot on the Moon, just hours earlier, on July 20th, 1969.
Neil Armstrong was a quiet self-described nerdy engineer who became a global hero when as a steely-nerved pilot he made “one giant leap for mankind” with a small step on to the moon. The modest man who had people on Earth entranced and awed from almost a quarter million miles away has died. He was 82.
School Boy Rugby
That’s it…after 5 years of playing rugby for SACS it’s all over. Can’t believe it’s gone. I remember the first time I ever put on that blue and white jersey. Feeling incredibly tiny (which i was). But today I was in disbelief when I put on that old jersey for the last time. It didn’t feel right… However, I’m so proud to have such a DON team. Going from 3 - 3 at half time to winning the game 18 - 3 takes a lot. I will never forget that match for as long as I live.
Happy Birthday to the most beautiful mother on planet earth. You have put up with me for 12 years, dont know you how you managed that…but you are such a strong, loving, passionate and caring person. And i am so proud to be you son! Love you MOTHER D!!!
